I am very picky about Pho. There's only a few places I will go to. I just so happened to try this on a late night coming home and it was in my path.

Oh my gosh!!! It quickly became one of my favorite Pho places. I prefer here over 90 percent of the other pho places in Portland. Great portions on the noodles, also.

Service has always been very polite.

I'm one of those people who constantly crave Asian food. Being in Portland, sometimes what you get is underwhelming, but not with Nana. It totally lives up to its name: good, no-frills food just like your Vietnamese or Korean grandma used to make.

We got an order of the Vietnamese wings (3 pcs) and it was the star of the show!! It was absolutely delicious and fried to perfection. I would def just come here for the wings and never leave.

I got the Bi Bim Bap Dolsot, and I thought it was pretty good. The veggies were marinated nicely, the egg runny, and the bulgogi was tasty. A standard Bi Bim Bap.

My parter got pho, and the broth was quite tasty.

We also each got a Sojurita - passion fruit and strawberry - pretty sweet but super delicious.

Service was great even though they were busy for a Sunday night. We will definitely be retuning to try more of Nana!

Came in around 6pm on a Friday and got seated right away. Got the korean pancake, wasn't a big fan - it was a little undercooked. The pho broth was very flavorful and the golden Bao was delicious.

Would come back to try the banh xeo.

The fried bao with pork, the Golden Bun, is worth the trip to Nana! Crisp on the outside, soft dough stuffed with sweet pork inside. Prefer this over the steamed buns which are too doughy for me.

The Korean short ribs are to die for! For those that have never had them, they are sliced across the bones horizontally so each piece is thin eand has tender meat between pieces of the ribs, if that makes sense! Meat is flavorful and melts in your mouth.

Inside is nicely appointed with large communal tables, individual tables and bar seating. All light wood, open and airy. Love the handpainted mural on the wall and the way the restaurant opens into the street where they have outside seating.

Service friendly and efficient.  Food is delicious. Every reason to visit this restaurant! Next time I want to try the scallion pancake.

Oh, I asked the origin of the name since " Nana" is what I called my two Italian grandmothers. It's a nickname of the owner's daughter.

Really bad service, we are Vietnamese and took our family to try this restaurant. The server was discriminate against children, did not let us seat (even we agreed on split table). We have to stand for almost half an hour, while he let 3 other parties in (party of 2). He did not even come and ask us anything (or offer us something while wait). We had to go ask him to do split table but he said all the table has been reserved (we dont even think other 3 parties has reservations). This happened in Portland, a friendly city. We are very upset, wanted to talk to owner to solve this problem.
